Espresso Cup

This is the smallest of the barista cup series, perfect for a shot of espresso or sake. We make it by pouring pigmented French Limoges porcelain into our custom plaster molds. The outside has a natural matte porcelain texture and the inside is glazed with a high gloss food safe glaze. The riffle-texture of the cup feels super grippy and almost resembles the haptic feel of a paper cup.

It has a volume of approximately 50ml and is approx. 5cm high. Porcelain provides a low thermal capacity, helping to maintain the temperature of your favourite drink. 

The Espresso Cup has an elegant lightness due to it's ultra thin walls. The glazed rim contributes to a pleasant mouth feel. 

All our porcelain products are fired at 1250C in our workshop in Berlin. The intense heat of the firing process creates a strong, durable and non-porous material, making the cup water tight, heat and stain resistant.

We use locally sourced pigments to stain the porcelain to give our pieces bold and vibrant colours and hues. Some of our ultra vivid porcelain colours, like Midnight Moss and Hot Red are highly pigmented to achieve an extra intense colour depth.

Each of our products are handmade and unique. We embrace the subtle differences and variations of each item as a special characteristic and uniqueness!
